I've only been to one show in Zurich before and it was at Abart, which was fantastically small - loved it. Thanks!Miz Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10515500855764454649noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-796251030375962445.post-61015791837754824712012-08-30T16:22:10.767-07:002012-08-30T16:22:10.767-07:00Love "Foster the People!" My hubby is a huge music lover and has turned me on to many types of music in Spanish.... with that being said, clearly there is still tons more to discover in English! Thanks for re-capping the event and sharing it with us. I plan on learning more about some of the bands you mentioned.Tarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03578872293162455848noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-796251030375962445.post-53499486251764397412012-08-29T01:47:18.737-07:002012-08-29T01:47:18.737-07:00I am not offended at all Anon, I am glad someone e...I am not offended at all Anon, I am glad someone else who attended the concert on the night read my post and is willing to offer they're alternative opinion. I agree there may have been a small part of me that was a little more concerned with what other people were doing and not the band so you do have me there. Please understand I did say that I thought the crowd did everything right, even the band commented on this fact but I was merely commenting on the fact that from where I could see those fans who truly lose themselves in music were no where to be seen. If you claim that you and your friends were these people then I am glad you were there giving it your all. The post itself is also a commentary on my own behavior, on how I have lost this spark and ecstasy at concerts and is my lament to this youthful exuberance I used to have. I am sorry if my post made you angry, that was not my intention when writing but I am glad it has caused a debate. You are clearly someone who is as enthralled and passionate about live music as I am and I very glad to know other kindreds exist in my new city. If you would like to continue the discussion you can email me direct, my email is at the top of the page on the right.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12293550934319164133noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-796251030375962445.post-55936840674836233812012-08-29T01:40:08.769-07:002012-08-29T01:40:08.769-07:00They were amazing Becca, do check them out. How do you know if nobody has bounced during the whole show if you say people should be focusing on the show, because if you care more about the people in front of the stage than the band who is actually playing?
Because form where I was standing, everyone gave it their all (except from the whale that stood in front of me. And you shouldn't judge people so fast. I guess you haven't looked at every single person in the room, because if you had, you would have seen me and my friends just enjoying the show!! And also, I wasn't able to scream anymore at the end of the show, because I was singing and screaming the whole time, and i can imagine that many others were in the same situation. And also your ' crowd surfing types': It's simply not possible to storm the stage or whatever, since the bar that blocks the way to the stage is too high. And you know, not everyone is tall.
But yes, the cellphone thing you said was true. But again, that doesn't count for everyone.

I'm not trying to offend you, but I just thought I should let you know how it really was (for me anyway)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-796251030375962445.post-7444202552983547712012-08-28T11:22:23.626-07:002012-08-28T11:22:23.626-07:00i feel for artist who see this happening while per...i feel for artist who see this happening while performing Adam Lambert once told fans via twitter to pput down the phones and just enjoy the show it's got to be annoying I can see a few snap shots but then put it away and dance have fun enjoy the moment. by the way love Foster the People and i am jealous you got to see them perform just saying Rebeccahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10213055916162799647noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-796251030375962445.post-77983762052745652472012-08-28T08:29:06.884-07:002012-08-28T08:29:06.884-07:00I loved the gig HMB but I was just a bit shocked b...I loved the gig HMB but I was just a bit shocked by what I saw, it might be a cultural thing but I do think the phone thing may have gotten out of hand here. I actually saw the girl in front of my text photos of the gig to a friend whilst one of the best songs was playing. I can't really understand that shit at all. After the gig yes but DURING?!? I am also going to see Flo later in the year. She is spectacular live. You are in for a treat.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12293550934319164133noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-796251030375962445.post-65291217915825737372012-08-28T08:03:56.017-07:002012-08-28T08:03:56.017-07:00::shakes my head:: What has this world come to whe...::shakes my head:: What has this world come to when instead of enjoying the show they must pull out the phones and cameras. Let's show everyone what were doing and blah blah instead of actually enjoying it. It's strange at times to realize I guess I'm getting old. Music Midtown is coming NEXT MONTH and there are so many acts I'm wishing I could see them all, but like I said. I'm getting old, it's not going to happen unfortunately. I must must must see Flo and the Machine though. :)) Love the post. Did you at least enjoy your time?Hey Monkey Butthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03876011642278169652noreply@blogger.com
